For years the debate has been which grilling fuel is better.
Charcoal or propane?
The gases from charcoal when mixed with the savory smoke from your favorite wood chips do provide a distinctive flavor that is typical in the traditional Southern barbeque. Then with the propane grill the meat’s natural flavor is the star.
So which is better? I think it is more about what you are cooking! When it comes to all of our favorite BBQ items it all comes down to what kind of flavor are we trying to achieve.
Burgers and dogs – hands down charcoal.
Ribs – never fail propane giving the ribs a more moist and bacon like flavor.
